ARCOS, Inc. recognizes Dominion Virginia Electric Power

ARCOS, Inc. is proud to provide Dominion Virginia Electric Power with the only automated crew callout solution they will ever need.

Dominion approached ARCOS, Inc. with a basic problem: Callouts were managed by analysts who were responsible for a variety of tasks and those tasks were increasing in difficulty and volume.

In response to this problem, ARCOS, Inc. introduced its solution with a promise: Every item in the Overtime Joint Action Team Document would be coded in the application. “And they delivered,” said Steve Chafin, Manager of the Emergency Preparedness Center at Dominion. “Every syllable of this 22-page document is imbedded in our ARCOS program.”

The ARCOS solution comprises all the list management tools, reporting capability, and functionality to make and manage the calls quickly, consistently, and without errors. Implemented in all of Dominion’s 34 local offices, approximately 4,000 union and salaried employees use ARCOS today.

ARCOS now provides a platform for everyone’s daily activities. “Other applications, including work management and storm management systems, use schedule and employee availability information from ARCOS that’s important for customer connects during normal business hours and in storm situations,” said Chafin.
