Xcel Energy selects ARCOS as its callout standard
ARCOS, Inc. is proud to announce a new partnership in 2008 with Xcel Energy.
Xcel Energy, Inc. is a public utility company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its subsidiaries include Northern States Power (Minnesota and Wisconsin), Public Service Company of Colorado (Denver, CO) and Southwestern Public Service Co. (Lubbock, TX).
Xcel Energy supplies electricity to 3.2 million customers and natural gas to 1.8 million customers. Its service area includes Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico.
The Xcel Energy project team began the implementation project with a new process called the “Implementation Workshop.” The process begins with an online Project Implementation Guide review, which is now offered as an on-site, two-day session. The first workshop, held in Minneapolis the first week of January, was very successful.
"This new part of the project will reduce the time to implementation significantly," said Mitchell McLeod, President and CEO of ARCOS, Inc.
The implementation project will continue in 2008; the first groups go live with ARCOS in mid-March and a gradual rollout to the rest of the company by the end of May.
