Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

Text Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARCOS, is looking for an Account Executive that is focused on new business development within Cooperatives, Municipalities, or Investor-Owned Utilities in gas, electric, or water that service a customer/meter base from Small (5,000 meters) to Medium (250K meters) sized utilities. In addition, this position is responsible for various other up-sell opportunities to existing accounts and expanding into new markets. The Account Executive is responsible for building strong relationships with prospects and existing TextPower customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. This role is ideal for an individual who seeks personal, professional, and financial advancement, growth and recognition while interfacing with industry leaders. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

Account Management for Prospects & Customers 

  • Research and present prospects with detailed business justification for TextPower solutions including formal business case, return on investment and other strategic benefits. 

  • Work with existing customers to identify and upsell TextPower to new groups within the account that can derive benefit from the solutions. 

  • Communicate the customer’s goals and represent the customer’s interests to the team.  

  • Analyze customers’ existing usage, applications and key stakeholders in their accounts. 

  • Be responsible for customer communications when issues arise. For major, critical issues, liaise between customer service, support staff and the customer to communicate critical information and updates.  

  • Ensure that customer issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the TextPower Leadership Team and executive management team of any problems.  

  • Provide regular two-way communication between the customer and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper customer expectations.  

  • Regularly attend conferences and tradeshows and engage in speaking opportunities to provide value to the industry and promote TextPower. 

  • Provide regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports weekly to management.  

Growth 

  • Execute typical Sales Account Management responsibilities and deliver against Sales Account Growth strategies within our existing installed base.  

  • Proactively develop net-new business for the company’s products and services within our prospect and customer base.  When required to increase success rates of securing new business, involve all necessary functional groups within TextPower / ARCOS. 

  • Become technically proficient with the product and be a subject matter expert for the product, including the ability to personally conduct webinars and product demonstrations.  

  • Understand the company’s capabilities and services, as well as the product’s technical features and functions, and effectively communicates all offerings to the customers.  

  • Maintain key customer relationships through personal interaction. 

  • Monitor new customer implementation and other professional services work project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project and ensure customer satisfaction and quality.  

  • Master and maintain vast knowledge of customer’s business, competition, and latest industry news and trends.  Convey knowledge to executive management team to help develop new products and services.  

  • Work closely with and provide General Manager with industry knowledge to assist with strategic and tactical sales and marketing initiatives.  

  • All other duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

  • 3+ years’ experience selling complex, core business software solutions to small to large enterprises. 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing, with an MBA preferred, or equivalent experience.  

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales quotas. 

  • Positive “Can-do” attitude. Self-Starter Hunter Mentality.  

  • Ability to professionally present and demonstrate the TextPower solutions in person and via webinars. 

  • A solid understanding of TextPower market: products, players, and technologies. 

  • Ability to write contracts that are win-win for the customer and TextPower and operate within TextPower / ARCOS approved business practices. 

  • Working knowledge of MS Windows and Office. 

  • Excellent typing skills, strong grammar and spelling abilities. 

  • Ability to travel; not to exceed 25%.

Compensation

The targeted base salary range for this position is $80k - $90k based on relevant skills, experience and other job related knowledge, with commission of between $30-$40k.
