Uniting utility service providers and utilities, to provide shared resources quickly and accurately in a fully documented process.
SUBMIT AND PROVIDE RESOURCES TO UTILITIES QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY
Resource Assist™ bridges the gap between utility service providers and utilities. During emergencies or other major events, utility service providers must fulfill and satisfy requests for resources from many utilities in a timely and accurate manner. This challenging process has previously meant responses occur in hours as a result of trying to accurately communicate customer needs and satisfy that demand. This has been paired with low visibility into resource location, resulting in difficulty to effectively bill customers.
With Resource Assist for Contractors, this is no longer the case. ARCOS has created a centralized platform that unites utility service providers and utilities to automate the negotiation and commitment of resources to utilities. Contractors now have the ability to quickly review, respond, and adapt resources quickly to meet customer resource requests in a single platform, all while eliminating much of the manual work and data re-entry currently required in the process. It’s contractor resources all in once place and format, that makes the process streamlined and more efficient.

FREE RESOURCE ASSIST LITE IS COMING!
What is Resource Assist Lite? Resource Assist Lite is a free version of Resource Assist that will be available to ARCOS utility customers and participating utility service providers to help the utility industry respond, repair and restore service faster during mutual assistance and other major events, such as hurricanes and wildfires. Read more in our press release. We’ll update this space as soon as it is available.
WHAT IS RESOURCE ASSIST:
Resource Assist is a web based application that gives you and your utility customers full visibility of the resources they’ve requested, the resources you’ve promised and the resources that have arrived on-site. The application provides instant access to a complete chronology of all requests, responses, confirmation and releases – greatly aiding reporting and invoice reconciliation.
As a Resource Assist user, you will be able to manage all crew rosters in one place using ARCOS, the industry standard in utility resource management. ARCOS is trusted by more than 130 utility companies, including the top 25 in the country. Once your crew rosters have been established in ARCOS, you can grant your utility customers access to load your resources directly into their systems – a huge data entry time saver for both you and your customers.
BENEFITS FOR CONTRACTORS:
- Quickly review and respond to customer resource requests
- Easily manage your resources and quickly transfer them from one customer utility to another
- Revise and repurpose resources – quickly adapt when customer utilities end up no longer needing resources they requested and provide them to the next customer
- Get paid faster
HOW IT WORKS:
As a contractor that does business with Cooperative, Municipal or Investor Owned Utilities, you qualify to register your company in Resource Assist. By registering and providing detailed contractor profile information, utilities that use Resource Assist can easily search the contractor database for resources needed.
If a utility wants to request resources from you, they will invite you to connect to them. Invitations to connect are received via the email address you provide in your profile. Once you are connected to the utility, you can begin to receive requests and electronically exchange resource information. No subscription or fees apply.
Note that until you are invited by your utility customer, you will not be able to receive resource requests from your utility customers.
ARCOS requires an approval process to ensure our utility customers are seeing qualified utility contractors. Once you complete your registration request, ARCOS will verify your company information and notify you via email if you are approved. The approval email will provide instructions on how to complete your profile. The more profile information provided, the more likely you are to be found in contractor searches conducted by utilities.
WHO SHOULD REGISTER FOR RESOURCE ASSIST:
Contractors that register:
- Are currently providing contracted services for Cooperative, Municipal and/or Investor Owned Utilities
- Typically have 75 or more employees
