Point, Click and Reduce your Grievances: How automation is changing overtime management and dispatch

Managing overtime and dispatch is tricky. Having to worry about who you need to call and in what order to follow your bargaining agreements is necessary, but time-consuming and complicated. When things get hectic and unplanned work comes up, how do you manage your overtime and callout crews?
Some of your peers, such as Tennessee American Water and Eugene Water & Electric Board use ARCOS Callout to automate their process. Since the cloud software is configurable to each utilities’ bargaining agreements, all that’s left to do is pick the roster or list of field technicians needed for unplanned work and click to send. The union rules are already pre-programmed in, so spending countless time ordering for overtime/seniority and then calling them manually is obsolete!
